Researchers from Cambridge University, suggest that face masks are imperative to avoid a second wave of the virus in the UK, following news from the government that face masks will now become mandatory in the United Kingdom.

Researchers say that face masks can drastically reduce transmission rates if worn by enough people, regardless of people being asymptomatic.

“In the UK, the approach to face masks should go further than just public transport. The most effective way to restart daily life is to encourage everyone to wear some kind of mask whenever they are in public.”

With this new information and scientific advice, people are now demanding that the government make face masks mandatory beyond public transport alone, such as making face masks a requirement for work place environments as well.
